Are you a fan of real rock music instead of the AI vocals that seem to be everywhere lately? Then Forgotten Roads have something worth your time. Their new album, “Scenes From A Revolution” is the kind of record that reminds me why I keep coming back to rock music. It sounds raw, honest and made by people who truly care about every song they create.
The album tells a story inspired by real family experiences connected to the Russian Revolution and World War II, giving the music an extra layer without taking attention away from the songs themselves. I really enjoyed listening to these amazing tracks and I kept finding new details and melodies with each listen.
The female vocal performance is one of my favorite things here. It’s soft, catchy and carries the songs with ease while the background harmonies fit perfectly. The instrumentation also kept surprising me. There are plenty of memorable moments and the solos add exactly what each song needs. I also enjoyed the production ideas throughout the record. I like how everything sounds carefully put together and I like how nothing loses that raw edge that makes rock so enjoyable.
Listening to this album, I could tell Forgotten Roads didn’t rush anything. Every track has purpose and the passion behind the music comes through in a way that’s hard to fake. These 16 songs are honestly some of the best titles I’ve heard in recent months and I finished the album wanting to play it again. For me, that’s always the best sign that a band is doing something right.
