Terry Dammit – Evening Powerlines

Terry Dammit just landed on my radar a few days ago with his new album “Evening Powerlines”. It’s an amazing collection that kept surprising me as it moved from one track to the next. Across these 13 songs, the record never stays in one place for too long and that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed spending time with it. Some moments hit with a lot of energy, followed by quieter sections that slow everything down. Some songs are built with big arrangements while others keep things simple and that balance worked really well for me. I think this is one of the best records I’ve heard in the last few months.

You can hear the artist’s love for songwriting throughout the album. The mix of rock ideas, synths and classical touches gives these songs their unique character without making them difficult to enjoy. The melodies stay with you and the performances keep everything moving.

Terry Dammit’s voice is rich and carries so much passion. It carries these songs with confidence and fits every change in mood across the album. The production is handled with real care, the mixing is clean and the guitars and drums give each track a solid foundation without taking attention away from the songwriting.

You really can feel how much time and effort went into shaping this record. Every song sounds carefully put together and the passion behind the project comes through in a great way. I had a great time listening to this artist. Terry has created an album that offers something different with every track and I’ll happily come back to it again. I honestly hope you enjoy this album as much as I did.
