Milyam is back and once again she has my full attention with her confident and attractive vocal delivery. There is something about the way she approaches her new single “Dream” that makes the track easy to get into without thinking.
Milyam is definitely a talented artist with a lot to say and I think that matters with music like this. Her songs are not simply made for fun. There is an idea behind them, and this track takes us into that space between dreaming and waking, where things can seem real for a moment and then suddenly change.
I liked her sound from the start, especially the way her melodies work around the beat. Her performance has confidence, but she also leaves enough room for the music to breathe. The production is excellent, and the mixing gives every part of the track its place. The mastering is just as strong and the beat gives the whole song a solid base to work from.
What I enjoyed here is that Milyam does not need to fill every second with something loud. She lets the song build its own mood and keeps the focus on her voice, words and melodies. This release is another good step from an artist who has more to say. If you want to hear something special and catchy, hit play and enjoy it.
