Keesha Blair is back with a new single and I honestly can’t say enough about how much I love her sound and the quality of her music. “The Inheritance” is another example of why her work keeps catching my attention. This song carries a message about gratitude, family, legacy and the things we receive from the people who came before us. Keesha Blair was inspired by her mother and grandmother, but she takes that personal idea and opens it up into something bigger. It made me think about what we receive from others and what we eventually leave behind.
The production sounds professional from start to end. The mixing is clean, the mastering is handled perfectly and everything has its place. The vocals are strong and the melodies are captivating and kept me interested. The chorus is memorable and gives the song a part I could easily find myself singing by the next day.
I really loved her writing style here. There is care behind the words and you can tell she didn’t just write something to fill a track. She took her time with the message and gave the music room to carry it. This new single is another reminder of why I enjoy and support Keesha Blair’s music. I really love her sound, her writing and the quality she brings to every release. This is a song I’ll definitely come back to.
