Sailor Bay – Paint Spill

I just discovered this Australian artist a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been digging through his music ever since. Today, I’m happy to share Sailor Bay’s new EP “Paint Spill” and it’s been such a rewarding listen. It grabbed my attention right away and kept me interested all the way through.

This artist has a style that blends great songwriting with captivating and simple melodies and this EP shows that in a way that’s easy to connect with. The vocal delivery is smooth and the production keeps shifting in great ways that always pull your attention to somewhere new. I found myself coming back to the melodies and lyrics because they stayed with me long after each song ended.

The atmosphere of this record is unique and it matches the personal stories behind these songs. Themes like grief, identity, rebuilding life after loss and trying to make sense of difficult moments give the record real meaning without taking away from its enjoyable sound. Even with those heavier subjects, the songs never lose their sense of hope.

I loved every second of this EP and honestly enjoyed spending time with it. The melodies, the lyrics, and Sailor Bay’s vocal presence all work together so well and his songwriting skills and clear artistic vision shine throughout the record. It has good sounds, honest lyrics and you can hear the passion and emotion in every song. I’ll definitely keep following him because this is an EP I’ll be coming back to again.
