Lewca landed on my radar a couple of weeks ago and since then I’ve had his music on repeat. I kept coming back because there’s something about his style that clicks with me, so I was super excited to share his new single, “Like Liam Gallagher”.
The track blends pop and rock in a way that sounds loud but not messy at all. The production choices work really well and give everything enough space while keeping the song full of energy. I also liked the sound design and the unpolished edge running through the track. The lyrics stayed with me after a few listens and the melodies are easy to remember. The hook is one of those moments that keeps pulling me back. He delivers it with a strong voice that suits the attitude of the song and his performance keeps the momentum going. The instrumentation is full and supports the vocals perfectly. You can also hear the chemistry between his band’s members.
The song comes after Lewca’s long break following a serious illness and that gives the release extra meaning, but the song never leans on that story. It simply sounds confident and ready to move forward. I honestly enjoyed this one a lot. I like Lewca’s sound, I enjoyed listening to his music and the professional band behind it and I’ll gladly keep an eye out for whatever he releases next because I think there’s still plenty more to hear from him.
