Pocket Lint caught my attention almost immediately with his new single “Cyanometer”. I found it last night, then ended up replaying it a few more times without really planning to. The sound and the atmosphere got me. There’s something calm about the way the track moves. It’s peaceful and doesn’t rush toward a big moment. It just settles in slowly with soft synths, old-school drum machines and light guitar parts that pull everything together.

The song is part of his upcoming album “Wunderkammer” and it made me curious about the full record. The atmosphere here has its own character. At times it almost sounds like someone thinking out loud in an empty room. The slow melodies work really well, especially because Pocket Lint takes his time with the vocals. His voice stayed with me a few hours after the song ended. Simple delivery but very captivating.

I liked the idea behind the track being connected to an object that measures the amount of blue inside a person. It matches the mood perfectly. Each song on the album represents an object, it’s an exciting idea.

This artist has a really interesting sound and I’m looking forward to hearing more from this album soon. Stay tuned, because I’ll definitely be writing more about his music.
