The Wheel Workers – Live From The Attic

The Wheel Workers is a band I just discovered this month and I’m super happy to share their new EP “Live From The Attic”. The first thing I noticed with this release was how professional this band sounds together. I mean, it’s not perfect in a shiny studio way, but it’s just real. I had this EP playing the whole evening while doing random stuff around the house and every time a new track came on, I kept paying attention again. That says a lot.

If you like raw rock energy, this record really gives you what you want. The guitars and drums sound polished enough to hit hard, but the vocals keep that rough edge that makes the songs move. There’s energy all over this EP, but also strong melodies that stay in your head longer than expected.

I really like the chemistry between the band and the listener. Some groups can play well and still leave you cold. The Wheel Workers somehow avoid that. By the end of the record, I honestly wanted to see them on a real stage. You can tell these songs were built by people playing together in the same room, feeding off each other in real time. This EP reminded me why I still choose guitar bands at the end of the day.
