If you’re looking for something to play this evening, “Flash of an Instant” by Love Rock is a great choice. Trust me, you might end up leaving it on repeat for hours, and once you get into their sound, I think you’ll want to hear more. This is one of the best tracks I’ve heard in the last few months.
The riff hook caught me right away. I really loved the tone. There is something familiar about it that made the track easy to settle into. The sound design is impressive and I enjoyed the atmosphere here. You can also hear the care behind the production. Anja Bere’s vocals are a big part of why this one works for me. Her voice is pure and captivating. She adds a nice touch without taking the song away from the band’s style. The lyrics are great and the melodies stick in your head after the first listen. I really like the idea behind the song, capturing that brief moment of attraction, tension and hesitation between two people.
Love Rock is a creative project that makes music with real care and attention to detail and I think listening to their work is the best way to discover that. I really loved their sound and the quality here. I’m adding them to my favorite list and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what they do next.
