Wingfish – Dyads

If you want to hear some real guitars and real rock energy, take a seat and give Wingfish’s new album “Dyads” a listen. From the opening track, I got the sense that this is a band that enjoys playing together and that comes through across the whole album.

Wingfish took me to another world with these songs, and I enjoyed getting into the details. The guitars caught my attention and the drums keep things moving. I really liked the vocals and melodies, which give the songs their unique character. The songwriting is strong. The lyrics are original and meaningful, and there is enough weight behind them to make me want to listen again.

The bass deserves some credit here, to be honest. It adds a lot to the sound and the production keeps everything clear and energetic. The album mixes studio and live material, and I liked that the band is actually playing together rather than trying to make everything sound perfect. “Sacred Place” was the track I kept replaying over and over. The guitar moments grabbed me right away and the vocal melodies have a haunting side that stayed with me. The lyrics are well written and the production gives the track a solid foundation.

If you like rock, this album is an experience worth spending time with. Wingfish play with passion and the chemistry between them is impressive. I loved this album and would happily cover more of their future music.
