I’ll be honest, I kept replaying “Jukebox Brawl” over and over because I couldn’t get enough of Coleman Easterly’s vocal tone, his songwriting and the way the instruments come together. It didn’t take long before I caught myself playing it again just to hear those little details one more time.
The song tells a fun story about two women getting into a fight over a jukebox in a bar and Coleman delivers it with confidence and a bit of humor that fits the whole idea. It has plenty of energy and that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed it. I also liked the production work here. Everything sounds clear, the recording quality grabbed my attention and every instrument has its place without covering up the vocals. The lyrics are catchy and easy to follow which made the song even more enjoyable after a few listens. His voice carries the track perfectly while the varied instrumentation gives it the support it needs from beginning to end.
This is one of those songs that simply works because every part fits together. It comes with confidence and good musicianship. I really love Coleman’s style and the way he writes songs that are easy to remember. I honestly had a great time listening to “Jukebox Brawl”. It’s a strong release and Coleman Easterly is definitely an artist I’ll be keeping on my radar for future music.
