Mark Cee just landed on my radar with his new 9 track album, “Ghost Talk Show” and I have to say, I loved every second of this release. It was a great introduction to his music and the album gave me so much to listen and enjoy. “I Am Dreaming Of” and “Drifting Back Again” open the album in the best way. Mark’s smooth and pure vocal performance works so well with the acoustic guitar and I like how simple the setup is. It gives the songs room to breathe and lets his songwriting do the work.
The whole album is an enjoyable experience, with little things to notice as you move through the tracks. “Sweet Jenny” was the one I kept coming back to. It has a nice rhythm, great guitar work and a great vocal performance that fits the song perfectly.
Mark Cee has a rich voice, but his writing is just as impressive. You can hear that he knows how to build a song and keep it memorable without adding too much around it. At a time when I hear so many AI-made songs, “Ghost Talk Show” was a welcome chance to clean my ears and enjoy music made with real playing, songwriting and personality.
I loved his raw voice, his songwriting and his musical skills. I enjoyed spending time with this album and I’d happily listen to whatever Mark puts out next. I’m so excited to hear where he goes next.
