WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:

“Fire swing is a special song for me and likely the most autobiographical thing I’ve ever written. I realized that a question I’ve often asked myself is how to face pain without loosing myself in it. Everybody’s got wounds and some are so deep they’d swallow you whole if you let them. When neglected, wounds scar up, so it’s this beautiful dance with pain that is finding what it can teach without calling more of it in to review the same old lessons. This song has elements of John Prine, Gillian Welch and Daniel Lanois with a dreamy yet cathartic post modern country feel.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Born in Texas, now living in Joshua Tree, Ainsworth brings all the rawness of his roots up to speed with 21st century immediacy and a talent for musical narrative. After the success of his contribution to “The Peanut Butter Falcon” soundtrack last year, Ainsworth has created a strong body of work in his new record “Running for so long.”
