Tivoli Boy is a recent discovery for me and his new release “A Fairytale – Chapter One” is a unique 6 track EP that has given me a reason to spend time with this artist’s music. It takes you on a long musical journey, and I really enjoyed every second. There is so much here to keep your ears busy, but the music never needs to make things complicated to hold your attention.
The vocals are smooth and they sit comfortably alongside melodies that have their unique character. I also enjoyed the instrumentation here. The arrangements have enough detail to keep each listen interesting, while the overall sound stays simple but has depth. That balance gives the EP its atmosphere, especially in the way the vocals and melodies work together. Tivoli Boy’s performance suits the material and the songs leave room for the music to do the talking.
My favorite track is “Welcome to Hell”. Those haunting melodies caught me and I really liked the vocals and the instrumental details around them. It is the track I found myself thinking about after listening, although the full 6 song record works well as one experience.
I’m happy Tivoli Boy has crossed my path and I’m already curious to hear what comes next. The upcoming album “Chapter Four” expected in early January 2027, gives me something to look forward to, and I’m excited to hear the artist and his band take the next step. Give this EP a listen and make sure to follow Tivoli Boy online.
