I first came across Evelí Ray in 2024, and she has been one of my favourite discoveries on the blog in recent years. So seeing a new single from her was a treat.
“Tiempo” is another lovely example of why I keep coming back to her music. I loved listening to her voice and the melodies here. There’s something pure and charming in the way she sings, and her songwriting has an honesty that draws me in. The song looks at time, mortality, and the things we leave behind in the hearts of others. It’s a thoughtful subject, but Evelí approaches it with a song that is warm and easy to connect with.
I really enjoyed the arrangement here. The instrumentation is simple which gives her voice space while supporting it perfectly. The Argentine cueca rhythm brings a distinct character to the track, with the piano and saxophone adding colour around it. The production and mixing are excellent and everything sits comfortably together. The chorus is beautiful and the melodies will stay with you after the song ends.
Evelí Ray is a talented artist and her new single is another release that reminds me why I’ve enjoyed following her work since 2024. I really loved this one and I’m already looking forward to hearing what she shares next.
