I’ve spent most of October listening to Reaven, and honestly, I’m happy I did. Their music has been playing in the background while I get on with other things, but there have been so many times when I’ve gone back to a track for another listen, especially on my drive home. “Reavolution” is a 13 track album from this talented French band, and I’ve had a really good time with it.
“Reavolution In My Heart” gets things going with strong guitars, drums and catchy melodies that make it one of my favorites here. The chorus is amazing and the lyrics are original and work well with the music. It’s the kind of opening that made me curious about what else the album had waiting for me.
My other favorite is track number five, “Get Up And Dance”. Honestly, give this one a listen and you’ll understand why I’m recommending the band. Romeo Bassi moves between softer singing and a stronger delivery and both sides work well with the melody. The chorus is excellent. I also love the production on this track. Everything works together without taking away from the guitars, drums and bass.
Reaven is one of the best bands I’ve discovered this year and they really know how to write good songs and there’s real energy in the way they play. I kept finding myself going back to many tracks here which says a lot. I’m happy I gave Reaven so much of my October listening time. This is a band I’d gladly keep in my daily rotation and I hope more people give them a chance. They’ve earned a new fan here. Enjoy, my friend!
