Agneu is a new discovery for me and finding his new release “Air and Twigs” has been a lovely surprise. I’ve spent the past week listening to this 8-track album over and over and I’m excited to share my thoughts.
The album starts with “Dansyes” a gentle opener with good instrumentation, soft melodies and a catchy delivery. I like the honesty in Agneu’s writing, and the chorus gives the song a memorable core. I loved this one and it’s the right way to begin the record.
The title track, “Air and Twigs” has a dreamy sound, with production and mixing that let each part sit comfortably in the arrangement. The instrumentation is well put together and the vocals and melodies are a big part of why I enjoyed it. Across the album, the choruses are amazing, the songwriting is honest and memorable, and the atmosphere ties everything together.
Agneu’s style blends a full band sound with a softer and reflective touch. His voice has so much depth and he delivers the songs with confidence, carrying the weight of the writing perfectly. The production sounds professional and the instruments support the vocals without crowding them out.
“Air and Twigs” has been a rewarding album to spend time with. I’m happy I found Agneu and I can see these songs finding a place in my daily playlist. If you’re looking for thoughtful songwriting and melodies that stay with you, this record is well worth your time.
