I really like Jaz Vernon’s voice and listening to his new single “Pink Suede” this morning was a pleasure. Jaz works in R&B genre. He brings a modern sound together with a touch of the style that made 90s R&B so memorable. His delivery is smooth and the autotune is just perfect. It suits his voice and give the performance a clean sound. I also like how the melodies catch your attention.
The production and mixing are professional and deserve credit here. Everything sounds clear and well balanced. The instrumental gives Jaz’s voice the best support. The parts work together instead of competing for attention, so it’s easy to focus on his singing and the lyrics. The lyrics are honest which adds something personal to the song. Sometimes a clear thought, delivered with conviction, is enough to keep me listening.
“Pink Suede” is the third single connected to Jaz’s upcoming sophomore project, and it gives me a good reason to keep following what he’s doing. I enjoyed the sound, the melodies and the atmosphere he creates here. Jaz has a sound I can happily spend more time with and he’s definitely on my radar now. I’m happy I gave this one a listen and I’ll be curious to hear where he takes things next.
