Laurie Black – Noisebleed

I discovered this amazing artist Laurie Black a few days ago. She landed on my radar at exactly the right time. Her new album “Noisebleed” is one of the best records I’ve heard this summer. Laurie has a style that is completely different from the crowd and packed with so much character. There is a sharp electronic edge in her music, with synths doing so much work without taking over everything else.

The production is professional and one of the big reasons this album works so well for me. I really love how everything sounds carefully put together and the production gives Laurie’s voice room to shiine. Her vocal style fits these songs perfectly and her lyrics have enough personality to stick around after the music is over. She also has a way with melodies that keeps the album moving without making it feel overloaded.

The album a great length. 9 tracks is just right here. It is not too long, not too short, and I enjoyed spending every second with her sound from start to end. So if you are going to force me to pick one favorite, I would go with “Lemons”. It has a nice energy, a strong vocal hook, good instrumental work and production and mixing that really impressed me. I liked the melodies in this one.

The whole album is excellent, tbh. Finding Laurie Black was a nice surprise for me and her album is the kind of music that makes me want to keep an eye on whatever she does next.
