I had this amazing track “When You Are Mine” on repeat a few times and I enjoyed it every time. Cataclysmiic is the kind of artist who puts real care into his music and that comes through in the way this track is put together. The sound sits between House and EDM, with a fast-moving beat that keeps things going.
Then the rap vocals come in and that was the part I enjoyed most. His voice is raw and confident which gives the track a different character than I expected from the electronic side. He rides the beat well, and the energy stays there from start to end. I really liked the lyrics here. The song talks about a woman who is pure and exotic. It keeps the idea simple and lets the music carry it.
There is also something refreshing about hearing an artist make the kind of music he actually wants to make instead of trying to follow whatever is popular. You can hear that attitude here. The mix of electronic beats and rap works better than I expected, and the whole track is an easy listen when you want something upbeat. This is a great listen for sure, and a good introduction to Cataclysmiic. I loved the vibe, I loved the energy, and I’m happy I gave this one a few plays. He is definitely an artist I’d add to my list and keep an eye on.
