I just discovered C’batch and after spending a week listening to his music, I’m already singing along to more than a few of his songs. That says a lot. His new single “Next Time (I Won’t Be Falling/You’ve Got Me Falling)” was the one that really pulled me in. I liked the hook right away. It has that catchy quality that sticks around in no time. The song is about moving on after heartbreak and then finding yourself falling for someone again when you least expect it. C’batch carries that idea well through his singing. His voice has a rich and soft tone while his delivery is smooth and easy to follow. I really liked the emotion in his performance. He doesn’t need to push it too hard to get the message across.
The melodies were another part I enjoyed and the writing caught my attention too. There’s a good balance between the emotional side of the song and the dance production, so it works as an easy listen without losing its meaning. The instrumental is well put together with production and mixing that give everything enough room. I’m happy I spent time listening beyond this single because it gave me a better picture of C’batch as an artist. I think he’s someone to watch. His music made me want to keep going through the catalog and that’s always a good sign for me. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.
