Rachel Swain is back again with her new album “Neon Lullaby” and it turned into an amazing way to spend my evening. I simply hit play and let her pull me into her world, and by the time it ended I already knew this would stay with me for quite a while.
Rachel has a voice that always grabs my attention within seconds. Her performance keeps every song interesting and the full band sound gives each moment so much life. The instrumentation is lively and works hand in hand with her vocals which makes her music very easy to enjoy. The production is professional and everything sounds balanced and carefully put together. The mixing and mastering let every instrument sit where it should, making the album easy to listen to from start to end.
I have always liked her way of writing songs and this album reminds me why. The melodies are catchy, the lyrics stay in your head and even when the stories touch on heartbreak, loss or finding the strength to move forward, there is still a sense of hope that keeps everything moving. Rachel Swain has delivered another well crafted release that stays in your head after the music stops. I had a great time with this album and I honestly can’t wait to see where her career goes next because she keeps giving me more reasons to come back for every new release.
