Patti Zlaket just landed on my radar with her new album “Dance Again” and I’m really happy she did because this was a lovely surprise. After spending time with it. I came away thinking she’s the kind of artist who wins you over without even trying.
She has a gentle voice and this album shows another side of who she is. There is honesty in the songwriting and a touch of nostalgia running through the songs and a calm confidence that stays with you long after the music ends. Her vocal tone grabbed my attention immediately and I’m sure her catchy melodies will keep finding their way back into my head later in the day. I loved the choruses so much!
I also liked how she delivers every lyric with sincerity. The instrumentation always supports her voice here which makes every song easy to enjoy. The production and mixing are excellent and give everything a clean sound without taking away the heart of the performances.
This is her first new album in two decades which adds something special to the listening experience. She is not trying to chase trends. She simply sounds like an artist sharing music she truly wanted to make. I honestly think Patti Zlaket has real talent and a unique voice. The quality of this album speaks for itself and I believe she deserves far more attention. I’m happy this was my introduction to her music and I hope it won’t be the last time I write about her.
