What I loved most about Electric Horseman’s new album “Under the Weather” is the care the band put into every part of it. Every track sounds well thought out and the instrumentation is full of small details that kept catching my attention. From the first moments, it was clear I was listening to a band that knows exactly what it wants to create.
The songwriting is one of the album’s biggest strengths. The lyrics are catchy, easy to connect with and paired with vocal melodies perfectly. The production and mixing are excellent and give every instrument enough space while keeping the songs connected as one complete record. You can also hear how comfortable the band has become with its own sound. They are mastering this art perfectly.
I also enjoyed how much variety the album offers across its 8 tracks. Every song brings something a little different but everything fits together. The mix of guitar-driven songs, folk influences and light psychedelic touches creates a unique atmosphere without losing focus.
I honestly had a great time with all 8 tracks. The quality of the music is impressive and that made the album easy to enjoy in one sitting. Electric Horseman has earned a place on my radar and this is the kind of band I’ll gladly keep following. I’m sure I’ll be writing about them again because this album left me wanting to hear what’s next.
