Reetoxa is here again with a new single and I have to say I’m enjoying writing about each release even more than the last one. The more I hear this band, the more I appreciate what they do, and “Love Keeps Burning Still” gave me another reason to keep following their journey.
This song comes from a deeply personal place, telling the story of a relationship that ended while a love never completely disappeared. That personal story adds something to the listening experience, but even without the background, the emotion comes in a simple and honest way.
Jason has one of the best voices I have heard in quite some time. It fits the mood of the song perfectly. The band also deserves a lot of credit because the instruments and harmonies work together so well. I liked the female harmonies which were a smart touch and blended into the song without taking attention away from the main vocal.
Another thing I really enjoyed was the production. I really like how everything sounds balanced and carefully put together. The chorus stayed with me long after the song ended, the melodies were easy to enjoy and the warm atmosphere made me want to play it again.
Reetoxa keeps proving that they know how to write thoughtful songs without making them complicated. Their music is well crafted, easy to listen to and made by people who clearly know what they are doing. I’ll happily keep writing about every new release because this band keeps giving me good reasons to come back.
