I just discovered this amazing artist and I really loved how he makes music that is gentle and easy to follow while still carrying a solid rock sound with some really nice synth work. That balance pulled me into this EP straight away and it kept me interested through all 4 tracks. I really love how every song has its own place and personality.
Dame Haff’s has a rich voice. It has a raw quality that fits these songs perfectly and his performance stayed strong from beginning to end. The production is professional and never loses the creative energy that gives this record its own character. I also enjoyed the sound design and the atmosphere of the whole EP.
The lyrics and melodies are memorable and stayed with me long after I finished listening. “Brazil” and “Wedding” became my favorites and I found myself replaying both songs several times. “Brazil” mixes light moments with the story of an ideal gap year, while “Wedding” brings an honest and reflective tone. Those two tracks made the biggest impression on me, although the whole EP is worth hearing.
You can hear real passion in these songs and that is something I always appreciate. Dame Haff has a great voice, memorable melodies and a style that feels like his own. I honestly enjoyed this release a lot and I hope this is only the beginning because I would love to hear more of his music soon.
