Joseph and the amazing band behind him are back with their third single and I’m excited to share this one with you. “The Shadow Remains” shows another side of Joseph Turner & The Dudes of Hazard, bringing a darker mood while keeping the songwriting focused and engaging. The song looks back at living with fear and anxiety for so long that it almost became part of everyday life, but it also shows the strength that comes from moving beyond those moments.
I enjoyed how the atmosphere pulls everything together. The production is creative with smart choices that give every section its own character. The melodies are catchy and easy to remember and the lyrics carry real meaning. I also liked the variety in the instrumentation. The drums and guitars work so well together, adding movement that kept me interested all the way through.
Joseph delivers the vocals with confidence and the chorus is the part that stayed with me after the song ended.
