Do you remember Pocket Lint from his previous single “Cyanometer”? I reviewed it last month and now he is back with a new single called “Amethyst Cameo”. I’m more than happy to write about this amazing talent again because he continues to bring something different with every release.
What makes this artist special to me is the way he chooses unique sounds and voices, along with the great production work behind his music. That was one of the things I enjoyed on “Cyanometer” and it is just as clear here. “Amethyst Cameo” has its own character, built around strong synth work, catchy melodies and a sound that is carefully crafted.
The song touches on the obsessive need to create and the drive that pushes artists back into the studio again and again. It is an interesting idea and Pocket Lint presents it in a way that is easy to connect with. The lyrics are easy to follow and the message is strong. I loved every second of this song and enjoyed the instrumental work as much as the vocal production. Everything fits together well and the overall sound is polished and enjoyable from start to finish. There is a lot of creativity here, but also a level of professionalism that shows how much care goes into the final result.
Pocket Lint continues to impress me with every release. In my opinion, he is working on another level right now and “Amethyst Cameo” is another reminder that he is an artist worth keeping an eye on.
