That song left a strong impression on me, so I was curious to hear where she would go next. This song is another solid step in her journey as an artist. The song touches on love, memories and the struggle of letting go of someone who once meant a lot. It is a subject many people can relate to and Debbie approaches it in an honest way.
She has one of the best pop voices I’ve ever heard. She is amazing and her performance carries a lot of emotion and passion. She never sounds like she is simply singing words on a page. There is a real connection between the lyrics and the way she delivers them. The melodies are easy to get attached to and the lyrics kept my attention throughout the song. I also enjoyed the atmosphere she creates here. It’s warm, but there is still a lot happening underneath the surface. The instrumental works well with the vocals and helps build the mood.
