Good afternoon, y’all! I just discovered this amazing artist this May and I’m really glad I did. Australian singer-songwriter Mark Moule caught my attention with his EP “Only Love” and I really enjoyed every second of it. There’s something calm and honest about the way these songs are put together.

The record opens with “Coming Down” and right away the rhythm pulls you in. The melodies are catchy and the songwriting keeps things moving in a great way. After that comes the title track “Only Love” which is one of my favorites. I liked the way Mark sings on this one. His delivery is relaxed and easy to sit with and the writing carries a personal tone that stays in your head long after the song ends.

“Where’s The Money Gone” was the track I kept replaying the most. I went back to it a few times just to hear his voice again. It’s bluesy and I really liked the rhythm and the confidence in his delivery. Then “Killer“ closes the EP perfectly. It wraps everything up in a simple but memorable way. The acoustic guitar is gentle and his voice carries so much emotion. Love it!

This is one of the best records I’ve heard so far this year. The atmosphere is warm and the melodies are captivating. The instrumentation stays in the background and gives the songs room to breathe. You can hear the care put into these tracks. This was recorded in his friend’s music room during their first production attempt together. Mark Moule has a great voice, honest writing and a style that feels personal from start to finish. Definitely an artist worth keeping an eye on!
