Reina Mora is showing up again on my radar after almost 10 months. I still remember writing about her last year, “Cielo”, so seeing her new single “Bad Decision” pop up felt familiar in a good way, like hearing from someone you haven’t talked to in a while and realizing their voice still sticks with you.
The song carries a lot of emotion. It sounds personal and almost like she turned a private moment into music and decided to leave the details untouched. That’s probably why the lyrics are so captivating. She keeps the sound soft and direct and that made me pay closer attention.
The instrumental is gentle and simple but it gives her enough space to carry the song the way she wants. I liked that balance a lot. The chorus stayed in my head after the first listen. Mostly because of how smooth and catchy it sounds.
Her voice and her honest songwriting are the reasons I come back to her music. There’s something special about the way she delivers her verses. I enjoyed listening to this song and by the end of it I was already excited about what she’ll release next. I’d gladly keep following wherever her music goes from here.
