This band Quality Living’s new single “Moon Is Out” stayed with me longer than I expected during my morning listen. I had it on my speakers and by the second play, I was already paying more attention to the guitars and drums more than anything else. There’s something really easy to sit with in this band’s sound. The instrumentation has a soft touch, but the song still moves with enough energy to keep it catchy the whole way through.
The guitars were probably my favorite part overall. They give the track its unique atmosphere. Same with the vocals. They’re smooth and memorable and the chorus will get stuck in your head after your first listen. I really liked how the lyrics mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies.
The production keeps things simple in a great way. It’s professional and everything sounds clean, but not polished to the point where the personality disappears. That balance really worked for me. This band has a sound I could keep coming back to and this song made me excited to hear where they go next.
