Kelsie Kimberlin is back with her new single “Clumsy Girl”. Trust me, it’s one of those songs that clicks pretty fast. It’s easy to listen to and within a few seconds you already get the direction – great pop tone, steady rhythm and nothing confusing about it.
I had it playing in my room while scrolling through my phone and I caught myself replaying the chorus without thinking. She has a beautiful pop voice and her delivery is smooth and matches the mood of the track.
The production is polished and sounds professional. The beat has a light bounce and the instrumental sits right behind her in the mix. Everything is balanced and each part knows where it should be. You can tell time was spent getting the mix right because nothing sounds off or messy.
There’s also something meaningful underneath. The video was filmed in Ukraine which adds weight to the track, especially since it talks about finding love even when things aren’t easy. That contrast gives it more depth than a typical pop release.
I’ve listened to a lot of pop lately and her voice honestly ranks high for me right now. It’s the kind you don’t get tired of at all. This is a strong release. Easy to play again, easy to enjoy and it stayed with me longer than I expected.
