Dan O’Rourke is a brilliant artist! He stole our hearts with his classic folk song “For That Matter,” and we are totally hooked on him. It is about the current political/cultural landscape in the USA. The minute we heard this song we couldn’t take it out from our heads, we were listening to it on repeat for hours to be honest. There is a great level of songwriting shines up from this song, the guitar tune is incredible, but the charm is in O’Rourke’s clean and wonderful voice, and his professional and catchy performance. Dan has an amazing voice for Country-Folk music and he is definitely one of our favorite artists after this song. Dan O’Rourke is a name we should all remember because his songs will always hook us.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Nashville-based, Country-Folk artist, Dan O’Rourke, was conventionally raised on the music of his parents. With the likes of Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Jim Croce, and Elton John his style most immediately reflects the music of the past. After an injury kept Dan sidelined as a child he decided he’d dive into music and never looked back.
Storytelling lies at the epicenter of his music as his down-to-earth approach so obviously reflects his passion for exploring what life has to offer, both the good and the bad. Much of his inspiration is drawn from the Southwest. He has a fond love for places like Colorado and Arizona, “not just because of how beautiful they are,” he says, “but for the history of each landscape.” History breeds romanticism as the two go hand-in-hand. Tales of love, lost and found, are woven into his performances, telling a unique narrative that allows the listener to find themselves in the songs.

Dan is a remarkable artist, an artist with soul, passion and empathy! His song ”For That Matter” does not represent what is happening now in the US, but is a universal stand for what is right and what is wrong. On top of it, he is my good friend John’s son!
