Poems For Dead People & Intertitle – There Are Spiders In My Dreams

Poems For Dead People and Intertitle have teamed up for this amazing song “There Are Spiders In My Dreams” and I’m so excited to share this song with the world. Especially with anyone who enjoys spoken word music. It’s a great collaboration that lets the words lead while the music moves underneath.

The track is built around a steady rhythm with good energy running through the instrumental. But instead of chasing a big chorus, it follows its unique direction and lets the repeated beat and vocal lines carry things along. Ryan Kent’s spoken delivery suits that sound perfectly. His words sit between telling a story and letting thoughts out. The song is about dreams, memories and anxiety. I really really liked the writing here. The lyrics are easy to remember. The synths, bass and percussion are put together with care and the production, mixing and sound design are impressive and give the track a professional touch.

There’s a post-punk edge in the arrangement with a good electronic side. The two projects work well together, keeping the song simple and focused. That balance really works well for me. I enjoyed listening to their music and was impressed by the quality here. This single is a good listen and I’m happy Poems For Dead People and Intertitle joined forces on it. I’d happily spend more time with this collaboration.
