I’ve been listening to this band lately and their music has a lot to offer. I wanted to share their latest single “Getaway Car” with you. Ivan Mudd is a Norwegian trio and this track gives you a good idea of their power pop and rock sound.
The song gets moving with a lively rock edge, driven by guitars and drums that give it a satisfying push. The production and mixing are solid and sounds professional. The melodies are catchy and easy to listen to but the rich guitars keep them from becoming too sweet. I really loved the vocals here. The chorus was a big highlight for me. It has that catchy quality that makes you want to hear it again and again without losing the rougher rock energy around it. I enjoyed the lyrics as well. They give me another reason to stay with the song instead of treating it as just a catchy tune.
This single is taken from Ivan Mudd’s new concept album “Tales From The Valley”. The trio has been making music together for years and there’s a great chemistry between them. It’s a band that enjoys what they’re doing. I like how the track balances strong pop melodies with guitars that still have some bite. That balance kept me listening until the last second. This was a great listen for me. I loved the vocals and chorus, and the mix of melody and rock energy works so well. I would love to hear more from Ivan Mudd and see what this trio shares next.
