I’m super excited to share this one with you because it is a record you would love to sit with and hear all the way through. “Lost And Found (Alba)” opens the album, and I loved the chorus. The melodies are captivating and Lassen’s voice gives the song so much character. There is a rich sound around his singing that adds a lot without getting in the way. “Under Your Spell” was another favorite for me. I kept that one on repeat because the lyrics caught me, the rhythm works and the production has smart touches that keep the song moving.
“Somersault” deserves a mention too. It is a great listen with lovely melodies, strong songwriting and instrumentation that fits the song perfectly. With this amazing album, Lassen moves through dreamy guitar textures, mellow indie rock ideas and softer pop moments while keeping his style at the center.
