Good morning, everyone. I wanted to start the day with a new release from one of the best instrumental artists I’ve discovered in the past few months. C’batch’s new single “Our Little Pooh Pea (The Last Light) 4” is proof of why I believed since I first heard his music that he could take this far.
This track is built around guitar and that is where my attention kept going. He takes a guitar solo that originally appeared in the amazing hit “Round & Round” and gives it a different setting, surrounded by electronic and atmospheric production. I like that idea because the guitar sounds like the heart of the track and everything around it changes the mood. There is no vocal telling us what the story is but the music takes you to another world somewhere between darkness and hope.
There is a lot happening in the production. But I never felt lost in it. The sound is polished, the mixing is perfect to my ears and the guitar work is seriously good. This artist is creative and plays with patience to let the instrumental develop in a smooth way.
The passion and care behind this music are impressive. It is well crafted and the quality is why I keep listening until the last second. I’m always happy to support C’batch’s journey, and I know this will not be my last time covering his music. I want to hear more from him.
