Fade Dresto is one of the few artists who grabbed my attention from the first listen. His sound and voice are polished and his new single “Germination” is a solid listen from start to end. The production is professional and makes the song easy to stay with.
His vocal delivery is confident and he rides the beat without losing his unique character. His vocal flow works well with the instrumental, which gives him room to say what he needs to say. The writing is deep and carries so much weight. The song looks at growth, change, healing, and the part of the process nobody else gets to see. The seed is stiill underground before anything starts showing, and Dresto uses that idea to talk about those periods when you are working through something or trying to become a different version of yourself. I like that idea because progress does not always have to be obvious.
This record is in great shape, tbh. The production and mixing are excellent and the mastering is balanced and gives the track a clean finish. The instrumental is well crafted and supports his vocals perfectly. “Germination” is a great listen with strong writing and a performance that kept me interested. Dresto has a sound and voice I’ll be happy to hear more from again.
