I really don’t mind AI music when it sounds this good, but don’t get me wrong, Teanko is not an AI artist. He is a real artist with a real voice, using AI as an extra tool in the music-making process. His new single “Between Two Selves” is a good example of how that can work without taking away from the person behind the song.
This track never wastes time. The instrumentation comes in strong from the first seconds and pulls you straight into the song. Teanko has a rich voice and his performance is strong. I really liked how well his voice sits with the music. The whole mix sounds professional, but it still keeps the emotion in his delivery.
The lyrics also caught me because they sound honest and personal. The song looks at the space between who you were and who you are now, touching on old memories, past expectations, and being comfortable with where life has taken you. I liked that idea.
There is a lot of energy here and I loved the sound design and instrumentation. You can hear the passion and care behind the track, and Teanko’s songwriting skills are impressive. I’m happy I found this artist. I’ll be following his journey and will definitely make sure to cover more of his songs.
