I discovered Blac Narc only a couple of weeks ago and since that first day I have kept going back to his music. Something in his style made me want to hear more, so having two tracks to cover this time worked out perfectly.
“Mind Control” is the first one and I liked the vocal hook here. The beat works well with his confident delivery, while the production and mixing keep everything clear. The lyrics are personal and honest, touching on proving doubters wrong and the life he has built since then. It is easy to listen to, but those lines can stay in your head.
“Straight Outta London” moves faster, with a smooth beat, good vocal tone and memorable lines. I liked the way Blac Narc talks about the pressure of everyday life in London, including money problems, politics and frustration. The mixing, mastering and sound design are also done well, giving the track a strong finish.
There is another part of this release worth knowing about. These songs launch “The Waterfall Puzzle” an interactive ARG where fans can search for hidden clues, including Morse code, back-masking and timestamp patterns. I like Blac Narc’s voice and confidence. I enjoyed both tracks and the quality of his work and I would be happy to cover more of his upcoming releases. For now, these two are a great introduction.
