Sunday night couldn’t have had a better soundtrack. I was in a great mood, dancing around the kitchen while making a plate of Italian spaghetti and I ended up replaying Maria Solena’s new single “Tropical Bliss” over and over without even thinking about it. That’s usually a good sign to me.
Not every artist can pull you into jazzy and classic-inspired music like this. Maria makes it easy. The song is gentle, classy and easy to listen to. It has a warm sound that instantly helps you slow down for a few minutes and the catchy melody kept bringing me back for another play. Her voice is pure and charming and the way she delivers each line is soothing. The song is also about escaping the rush of everyday life and letting music carry you somewhere peaceful which fits perfectly with the relaxed mood it creates. Everything comes together in a simple way.
I honestly hadn’t heard of Maria Solena before this release, but that’s changed after hearing this masterpiece. It’s one of those songs I’ll happily put on during quiet evenings when I just want to relax and enjoy the moment. For me, this is the perfect soundtrack for those velvet nights and I already know I’ll be coming back to it again and again. Sometimes all you need is one song to brighten an evening and this one definitely did that for mine.
