Heeeey! I just discovered this amazing band dreamscent and their brand new album “Burning Days”. This one landed in my headphones late at night while I was skipping through random new releases, and the first thing that caught me was how relaxed the album sounded without turning lazy. There’s a mix of dream pop, shoegaze and 90s rock all over this thing, but it never comes across like a band trying to copy old records. It’s more like they actually grew up with this music around them.
The guitars carry a lot of the mood here. Some tracks drift a little while others push forward with heavier rhythms and that balance kept me interested through the whole album. I also liked how the production stayed clear and creative.
The vocal melodies stayed in my head after the album ended. The vocals are not always sitting front and center in the mix, but that honestly worked for me because it matched the hazy direction of the songs. There’s something raw about the delivery that made the album easy to keep replaying.
More than anything, this album made me want to keep up with this band. dreamscent already sound confident on their debut and I’m curious where they go next. Definitely keep them on your radar and follow them on spotify and social media because this band feels like they’re building toward something bigger.
