Blush. really caught me off guard with their new single “Wrong Answers Only” mostly because of how alive the whole track sounds. It’s not polished in that stiff studio way either. There’s still dirt on the guitars, the drums hit hard without sounding cleaned up too much and the bass has this heavy push underneath everything that kept pulling me back in. I ended up replaying it right after it finished, mostly to hear that mix of synths and guitars crash together again. Such an amazing idea!
The song leans into that alternative rock and grunge side. You can hear the 90s influence, sure, but the band still sounds like themselves. The synth touch was probably my favorite detail here. I really loved the energy of this band. The track moves fast and doesn’t waste time. It just throws you into the middle of the noise and keeps going. That raw approach gave the song a lot more personality than something overly polished would have.
I honestly just want to hear more from this band. They sound creative, loud and confident here, and this new single is the kind of track that sticks around after the headphones come off.
