Allan Jamisen is back with his new single “The Coalition”. It’s like a track that arrives with intent rather than noise. I listened to it late, lights low screen half-dim and it settled into the room slowly. The track moves across styles without showing off about it. It’s built with care. Like someone actually stayed up to fix the small things instead of rushing to the end.
There’s a darker tone hanging over the track. But it doesn’t drown you. It sits there, steady. The production is sharp and polished. With sounds placed where they need to be. You notice the choices. Not because they shout, but because they make sense. The mix of tones keeps the track interesting without piling things on. One idea leads to the next, clean and controlled. The vocals stay with you. Delivered in a way that sticks.
For me. This track sounds well designed and carefully built from start to finish. Allan Jamisen knows how to shape an atmosphere without overdoing it. I really like what he’s doing here and I honestly hope this isn’t the last we hear from him this season.
