Proklaim returns with an exciting two-in-one single, “CREEPIN/FURTHER” blending boom bap energy with the bounce of South African Amapiano. His sound is bold and refreshing, filled with rich textures and rhythmic variety. One of the standout elements here is how seamlessly he shifts between rapping and singing, always with conviction and clarity. The track carries a strong pulse and it’s fueled by sharp production and a compelling beat that are enhanced further by a well-placed sample from the Shaka Zulu mini-series that adds both cultural depth and uniqueness and I loved that.
The mixing and mastering, done by Wojtek Majewski are excellent and the overall atmosphere feels modern yet grounded in hip-hop’s storytelling roots. Proklaim’s voice is commanding and his lyrics are thoughtful and original, something that’s increasingly rare. I really love how confident and creative this release is. It’s clear Proklaim is doing what he loves and you can feel that energy from start to finish. He’s truly one of my favorite names in indie hip hop right now.
