The minute I pressed play, I knew this EP had something special. Kilravock’s just landed on my radar with a new release “Tyranny of the Clock” a bold and deeply personal EP that will strike a chord with fans of grunge, post-punk, gothic rock, and post-metal. Across six tracks, this project delivers raw power and emotion, driven by gritty guitars, creative production and distinctive vocals. The EP is packed with meaning, exploring themes of antiwork, labor rights, and neurodiversity through a uniquely artistic lens.
The songs blend heavy riffs with industrial textures and political fire, especially in two of my favorite tracks here, “Who Killed Saint Monday” and “Solidarity Forever”. Kilravock’s reimagining of “Working Class Hero” is truly impressive and adds new depth to the classic. This EP feels like more than just music, it’s a statement. It’s refreshing to hear something so different and fearless. Honestly, I found it powerful and inspiring. Even if you’re not usually into these genres, Tyranny of the Clock might surprise you and leave you digging into Kilravock’s past work.
