ABOUT THE ARTIST:

A seasoned Texas singer/songwriter, Jordan Whitmore’s musical evolution spans diverse genres, transitioning from indie piano pop to the soulful roots of Americana. Influenced by a spectrum of artists including Brandi Carlile, Eva Cassidy, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, and Tom Petty, her signature lies in the raw emotional depth and poignant vulnerability present in both her voice and songwriting.

Throughout her career, Jordan has achieved significant milestones, including sharing the stage with Jonathan Tyler of Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights and opening for one of her early musical heroes, Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer. These experiences have played a vital role in her ongoing artistic journey.

Her musical prowess was acclaimed after the launch of her debut full-length album, “Other Side.” Notable accolades include securing the Best Americana Song in the esteemed National Unplugged Songwriting Contest with “My Own Worst Enemy,” reaching finalist status in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for “The High Road,” and earning features in the international trailer for the film “The Choice” with “2,000 Years Ago” as well as the TV series “Swarm” with “The High Road.”

Having cultivated her career in the vibrant music scene of Austin and performing across Texas, she returned to her roots in Dallas/Fort Worth in 2016. There, she ventured into a different realm, creating and releasing a gospel record under the moniker EUFAULA, which happens to be her middle name. This debut album comprised original songs inspired by the scriptures and Jordan’s personal narrative, offering a unique perspective on faith and life.

Following the EUFAULA project, Jordan released the deeply personal single “I Promise,” a poignant reflection on her struggle with infertility and her longing for motherhood. This song served as a pivotal moment in her artistic journey, propelling her towards the creation of the EP “Good Things.” This collection of songs revolved around themes of waiting, anticipation, acceptance, and hope. Through this six-track fusion of Pop and Americana, produced by Brian Douglas Phillips (known for his work with acclaimed artists like David Ramirez, Rob Baird, and Thomas Csorba), Jordan showcased her versatile artistry.

In 2020, Jordan took a hiatus from recording as she traversed the incredible path into motherhood by adopting her son, Gideon. Now, she is poised to unveil her latest musical venture, an acoustic EP entitled “One Breath,” recorded in collaboration with Phillips in Austin. This 3-song EP stands as a poignant anthology reflecting the resilience required to navigate life’s darker phases. Stripped down and distinct from her usual full-band style, these songs capture raw emotions and serve as a departure from her traditional production approach. Looking forward, Whitmore is excited about getting back into the studio with the full band, hinting at more music to come.
