Ruut’s new album “Steinway Sessions” is soft, honest and beautifully stripped back. Piano-led melodies, heartfelt vocals and songs that grow on you the longer you sit with them. It’s simple, emotional and quietly powerful from start to finish. Late night, low volume and “149 Northbound” just settles in. Elephant Moon delivers raw acoustic tones, great road vibes and a sound that feels timeless. It’s unpolished, honest and unforgettable. Two sides, one story. 50mething is back with two singles “Back Where We Began” hits with raw honesty and emotion. And “Date Night Tonight” flips the vibe. It’s playful, electronic and light. Exzenya is back with “International Power”. It’s powerful and confident and completely her own lane. Unique vocals, creative production and a message that speaks without trying too hard. It’s more than a track. It’s like an anthem. I discovered this upbeat song “Through Your Veins” late at night and that chorus didn’t let me go. Kevin Driscoll’s is back with a new single titled “Put It Behind Me” and it’s a song that stays with you. With soft acoustic tones, raw vocals and an emotional weight that feels real from start to finish. Lisa Jo is back with a new album “Hood Rats” and it’s impossible not to get pulled into her sound. Joho just landed on my radar with his new album “Numbness Is Exhausting”. The record grows on you track by track. It’s honest, a little messy and completely captivating. Some songs sneak up on you and “City of Wind” by Cling Film is one of them.

ABOUT

Cheers To The Vikings is a result of spreading the fresh releases that need to be heard, we began as a SoundCloud account in 2016, but have since evolved into blogging, with no genre limits. We are a small team working to create content to support the independent artists who are out there struggling, and that’s what we’ve garnered a reputation for. We don’t care about trends, genres, stats or names. We value creativity and variety, things that spark our memories and emotions. To find these rare experiences we stay curious and always with open ears and eyes for the undiscovered talents.
