Keesha Blair is back with a new single, “Peaceful Power” and I have to say, I loved this one more than anything else I’ve heard from her. She brings that smooth, catchy soulful voice again, but there is something especially easy to connect with here. Her performance has a calm confidence and the melodies and lyrics kept pulling me in.
The song is about accepting every side of yourself, including the parts that may have been difficult to live with in the past. There are ideas around healing, family roots and making peace with your younger self. Keesha keeps the message clear and direct. That balance works for me. You can listen to the song for the message or simply let the music carry you.
I also loved the quality of the sound. The production and mixing are excellent and the instrumentation gives the track some great moments without getting in the way of her voice. Keesha’s vocal presence is a big part of why I enjoyed this release so much. She knows how to sit inside a melody and make it easy to remember.
I’ve loved listening to her music and this new single gives me another reason to keep an eye on what she does next. I’m already looking forward to reviewing her next releases. She is an artist to watch and this new single is one I’m happy I spent time with.
